How strong is it?
Our cord is made of Kevlar fiber that is 5 times stronger than steel. This cord has a break strength at over 150 pounds.
How do you put it on the collar?
Just attach the hook on the collar’s D-Ring.
Will it fit on my existing collar?
The Emergency Leash is designed to clip on to the D-Rings of all collar types, such as Chain Slip Collars, Metal Prongs, Martingales, Harness and Everyday Strap Type Collars.
How does it work?
Attach the hook to the collar’s ring where a normal leash would attach. In case of an emergency situation where you do not have a normal leash around to control your pet, simply pull the leash by holding down the lock button to unwind the cord. To wind up the cord, hold down the lock button and manually turn the rewinding thumb wheel. If you would like a visual demonstration, please click here for a video.
Does Emergency Leash have a lock that prevents the cord from accidentally deploying?
Yes, it does have a lock button that will prevent the leash from unwinding. To unwind the cord, just press and hold down the lock button while pulling on the cord. To lock the cord to a desired length, simply release the pressure on the lock button and the cord will remain locked at that length.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes, our product is backed up with a one year warranty from any defects in manufacturing. Attempting to repair the leash yourself will void our warranty. Please contact support@emergencyleash.com if you have problems.
Do you accept returns?
